Professor Richard Crisp joins the team at The Engagement Coach

Research has always been an essential component in the work we carry out at The Engagement Coach. With our continued focus on the latest research into the science of human behaviour, we are pleased to announce Professor Richard Crisp is joining the team to provide his expertise into human motivation and behaviour, with a particular focus on leadership and management development.

Richard is an award-winning scientist, writer and educator in the field of social psychology. Richard's research over the years has focused on the power of social influence, and how we can harness this power to achieve lasting and effective behaviour change. 
 
With productivity, a huge focus for organisations, there is a greater realisation that leaders and managers are critical to ensuring we create an engaging workplace; understanding social influence will be key in ensuring managers and their teams are working together to improve productivity. Richard brings his own expertise as well as his own research into this area. 
 
His work has been published in over 150 academic papers and he is author of several books including The Social Brain: How Diversity Made the Modern Mind and Social Psychology: A Very Short Introduction. 
 
As well as being an elected Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Academy of Social Sciences, and Association for Psychological Science, Richard is Professor of Psychology at The Aston Business School. 
 
Richard has blogged for the New York-based magazine Psychology Today and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Social Psychology - we are pleased that he will also regularly share his thinking via blogs and papers at The Engagement Coach.
